If we are leading a worry-free life, eating well, dressing well and then retiring to bed at night without any tension of what is going to happen tomorrow, it is because of the soldiers who are guarding our lives all the time, and some times pay with their lives just to ensure we civilians lead a peaceful life. Anything that we do to honor these heroes and now the army personnel includes a lot of women soldiers who brave every peril along with their male counterparts.

These war veterans were honored on the 2nd of June 29, 2009 in the form of Military Appreciation Day at the Memorial Tournament in Columbus. A number of war veterans were honored and their contributions recalled and appreciated. The veterans, most of all, Michelle Covert conceded that such honoring ceremonies makes them feel great and wanted and it makes all the efforts and pain they have gone through worthwhile. She is patient of post-traumatic stress disorder and her loyal dog has been adequately trained to sense her panic attacks in crowds and seek medical help. There are many other similar veterans who play golf in spite of their limiting physical complaints, suffered on account of various wars.
